Sure thing is true! Owning less doesn’t mean it’s not worthy of being beautiful.

Actually it’s about sorting through your belongings and selecting only that which sparks joy in your heart.

Not everything you own has that effect.

Of course there are the bare necessities which you need for purely practical use only because you need them to get by.

The more clear you are about what brings you joy the more clear the space in your mind is and the happier you will be.

Stagnant energy gathers dust and dust is heavy.

So take a walk through your home and feel where the energy is more stagnant and where it feels lighter and more pretty.

Go and move stuff around and clear away those dusty items you have had stashed away for ages and get no attention.

Move them out of the room and feel the change. Open a window and allow fresh air to circulate.

Is there anything more satisfying than a clear desk? Clean Off Your Desk Day is a chance to get organized and engage in some serious decluttering.

Most people are guilty of amassing piles of paper and letting clutter gather on their desks.

We all know that a tidy desk makes for a tidy mind, and Clean Off Your Desk Day is a chance to come together to conquer mess and pave the way for clear thinking and clean workspaces.

A celebration of all things organized, this is a day that can be marked by employees based anywhere.

From large-scale corporate offices and trendy shared workspaces to home offices, this is a chance to preempt the start of spring cleaning and get your stuff in order.

Stress is a common ailment in today’s society, and working in a clean, bright, open space is proven to promote serenity and calm.

What could be better than turning up to work on a gloomy Monday morning to find a pristine workstation with not a scrap of junk or a pile of paperwork in sight?

Research shows that people get more done and feel less stressed when their desks are clean and tidy. It helps support wellbeing and makes long days in the office more bearable.

Clean Off Your Desk Day is also an opportunity for everyone who works from home to clean up their home office and introduce new ways to enhance their performance.

Start by taking the clutter off your desk and making a list of things, like family photos that you want to keep. Then move onto incorporating other elements that will help keep everything neat and tidy in the weeks and months that follow.

Follow the paper categorie rules set out by the KonMari Method. Throw away all paper except if they are of sentimental value or belong in the following three:

Divide into 3 subcategories:
1. urgent papers which need to be dealt with within a week (bills to pay)
2. Papers you need to keep for several months to 2 years. (warrantees)
3. Papers you need indefinate (important certificates, mortgage, tax)

Tidy house is a tidy mind. January is a month to tidy your home. Give it a good clean. Sort out your Christmas decorations and dust away the cobwebs. Physically and mentally!

Cleaning is a ritual and digs so much deeper if done thoroughly and with respect for the things you own.

So today I’m cleaning my home so I can start fresh again tomorrow. Put away the Christmas stuff and open all the windows. Let go of gifts received in gratitude which don’t spark joy.

A gift you receive may not always spark joy so what do you do? Keep it forever in the attic?

What to Do With Gifts That Don’t Spark Joy? Well according to Marie Kondo you can let them go in gratitude.

“The true purpose of a present is to be received.”

Not revert gift you receive may suit your taste.

The person who chose it for you chose it when thinking of you and this is the reason why you might find it hard to let go of.

However, you don’t have to keep using the gift forever. If you try using the item and decide that it still doesn’t suit you, thank it for the joy it brought when you first received it – and bid it farewell.

The true purpose of a present is to be received, because gifts are a means of conveying someone’s feelings for you.

When viewed from this perspective, there is no need to feel guilty about parting with a gift that ultimately doesn’t spark joy.

Hold each gifted item in your hand and ask your heart if it sparks joy. If yes then showcase it somewhere in your home where it will shine and energises you.

If no sense of joy then thank it in gratitude and pass it on to a second hand shop where someone else will pick it up because it sparks joy in their heart.

FRESH new start: introduce clean healthy habits su

FRESH new start: introduce clean healthy habits such as drinking a home made smoothy every day!

Recipe: 1 person
1 Orange (pith removed)
Half a banana
1 apple (peeled and no seeds!)
2 dates
Oats 1-2 tablespoons
Oat milk 250ml

Pop into your blender (I use a Nutribullet) and wiz for 30 seconds.

Rich in vitamins and minerals and will make you feel so good about yourself.

Back in flippin’ lockdown again and nothing else really to do!

So let’s just chill and enjoy the moment called now!

Be still and silent. Find a lesson in the moment. Can you be still and quieten your mind or does it race around?

Does your home reflect your soul?

Is your home a peaceful place?

The less clutter you have the more at peace you will be with yourself.

A tidy cosy home feeds you mentally and is healing to all your senses.

Home should be safe and a sanctuary. If it isn’t that to you please take a first step to clean away the cobwebs.

I promise it will clean and heal your mind too and it will give you new goals to aim for.

Keep only those things that speak to your heart and fill you with joy. The rest let go of in gratitude.

You might even come to realise you might also be in the wrong relationship and might pluck up enough courage to step away from it and have the confidence to walk on and take a different route.

Have faith then that all will be ok. You are the only one who is important so make sure you are ok and doing the things that make you light up.

Always follow what lights you up and be with people who only ever want the best for you.

People who make you shine and give you energy are those to have in your life. Let go of toxic relationships and of those who intimidate and try to manipulate you.

Clean your home also means cleaning your one inner temple mentally and physically.

Tidying is about so much more than just moving stuff and dusting. If done properly it can set you free of limiting beliefs.

So take a good look around your home today and start by creating a mood-board of what you want your home to look like and go create it.
