Rediscovering the Magic of Feng Shui
I have always been fascinated by the mystical art of Feng Shui, and recently I stumbled upon an old blog post of mine from 2009 that reignited my passion for it. I had forgotten how powerful it can be in transforming our surroundings and our lives. It made me reflect on how much has changed since then, and how life’s unexpected turns can take us away from our true calling. For me, it was a divorce and a new love that left me feeling lost and disconnected from my inner self. But now, I am ready to return to my roots and rediscover the beauty of Feng Shui once again.

Feng Shui is an ancient Chinese practice that emphasizes the importance of balancing and harmonizing the flow of natural energies in our surroundings to create positive effects in our lives. It’s like “Zen,” where everything is placed with love and attention until it feels right and energizes the space. The name Feng Shui itself translates to “Wind & Water,” which represent the earth’s breath and invigorating life force, respectively. These elements have tremendous energy that drives Feng Shui’s practices and techniques, creating optimal and harmonious life energy flow.

Feng Shui has been in use for over three thousand years, starting with determining the best locations for tombs of ancestors in ancient China to help living descendants. Later, it was used to site palaces, important government buildings, and even whole cities designed according to Feng Shui principles. Today, it remains a powerful tool for creating balance, harmony, and vitality in our lives.

As I declutter my website and give it a new look, I am reminded of the importance of surrounding ourselves with positive energy and creating our own sanctuary. For me, it’s my mother’s cottage near the woods in Holland, where I can find peace and inspiration once again. I hope to bring my partner, Jon, with me and turn my mother’s house into my own temple, full of Zen energy. I believe we all have a place in this world where we truly belong, and for me, it’s not here in England. Feng Shui has shown me the way back to my true home.

How Feng Shui works:

Feng Shui is no magic. It is a collection of practical, time-tested solutions based on the fundamental properties of elements that are used to change the negative aspects and introduce the positive aspects of each element to your living environment—and change your life for the better. Feng Shui has had a huge impact on the lives of hundreds of thousands of people around the globe—and you can have its benefits work for you! By simply changing the interior of your home, changing the colours of your walls, or relocating the furniture in your bedroom, you can enjoy the positive effects of Feng Shui.

Feng Shui information – some key points:

  • Good Feng Shui requires an open mind, heart and spirit.
  • Feng Shui releases negativity from your house and life. It opens up a whole new space within you for positive thoughts, love, contentment and prosperity. Don’t let negativity enter when you practice Feng Shui.
  • Holding onto negative emotions and past anger can only hinder you from making progress through Feng Shui and creating a wonderful future for yourself.
  • Practicing good karma is a cornerstone of Feng Shui. Be generous and give from yourself in order to receive in kind from the universe and others around you.
  • You are living a life that is ill-suited to you, your personality, your dreams, your family, your essential self… and your home is symbolic of this.

Transform Your Living Space with Feng Shui Principles
Feng Shui, the ancient Chinese practice of arranging your environment to enhance your life, is not just about aesthetics. By manipulating the elements and applying various techniques, you can cultivate balance and harmony in both your surroundings and your inner self. However, becoming a master of Feng Shui takes dedication, as it involves studying all aspects of the practice for 30 years.
Feng Shui centers around the concepts of Yin and Yang, which represent passive and active energies, respectively. By applying these principles, you can create an environment that promotes peace, relaxation, and productivity. The Bagua energy map, an octagonal tool that divides living spaces into nine areas, is a cornerstone of Feng Shui. Each area corresponds to a different aspect of your life, such as relationships or wealth. By utilizing the Bagua, you can design and rearrange your space in a way that aligns with your goals and values.
Remember, your living space is a reflection of your inner self, so it’s important to create an environment that supports your well-being. By incorporating Feng Shui into your life, you can cultivate happiness, inner peace, and love. Share these tips with your friends and give it a try today!

Hope this serves you, Love and Light Carolyn
